Deactivated Old Spec MG53
|||SOLD||| This is the Yugoslavian built MG 53 machine gun, built under license after WW2. The breech cover carries the Yugoslavian crest with a date of 1943, but this is not a manufacture date! It is nearly identical to the MG42 (the MG53 didn't have a mount for the anti-aircraft sight) used by the German Army in WW2, chambering the same 7.92 x 57mm round, but far less expensive! This example is in very nice authentic condition, with very good blacking with the just the odd mark and scratch from storage. Nice wooden stock like the MG42, not plastic, with matching serial number. It can be cocked and dry fired, with a fair degree of stripping possible. Complete with bi-pod this is an impressive machine-gun, and a lot of hardware for the price. This particular one is made from original pieces from a MG 42 as the nose cone has a waffen stamp on it. |||SOLD|||
